L3Harris AP Migration to SAP Manufacturing Execution System
Action Requested: To avoid any delays in processing, please send any planned orders set for issuance between June 26th – July 7th to L3Harris on or before June 19th.
Note - This change does not affect this technical publication site.
Commercial Avionics will be instituting a series of protocols the week prior to Go Live to ensure a successful transition. These measures are designed to stabilize the number of transactions in the legacy systems and create focus on burning down open work orders that will need to be migrated into SAP.
· A soft factory shutdown will be initiated on June 26th – June 29th. During this period, we will be operating with a full staff but limiting the receipt and processing of any new work that cannot be processed within that week. All open work orders as of June 26th will move through the factory for shipment. Any AOG or critical shipment will not open as of June 26th will be processed with management approvals.
· A hard factory shutdown will be initiated on June 30th – July 4th. During this period, we will shut down all recurring operations to take down the legacy systems, migrate data and start up SAP. During this time, we will have no assigned staff to work recurring operations. In the event of an AOG we have an identified path to manually operate as required and will have resources on call if needed. Regular operation will commence on July 5th using SAP. Additional information can be found in the SAP customer letter available for download on this techpub site.
